300 guides live here. Each one answers its question in the first paragraph, then sets out the specification, the test method behind it and the commercial terms that apply. Nothing in this library is written as a consumer review - it is written for buyers who have to sign off a tech pack.
Find guides by intent
| Intent | What the guides cover | Where to start |
|---|---|---|
| Choosing a specification | Size charts, weight classes, material comparisons | Start with the platform guides in each family |
| Meeting a deadline | MOQ, sample lead time, bulk production, shipping | Read the commercial guides before requesting a quote |
| Clearing compliance | CPSIA, REACH, Proposition 65, airline rules | Match the destination market to the right document set |
| Fixing a known failure | Zipper returns, mesh tears, strap fraying | Look for the test-method guides before changing components |
Editorial standard behind these guides
Every guide follows the same discipline. Figures stated in a guide either come from a named standard, from our own measurement log, or they are explicitly labelled as planning ranges. Where a standard is referenced, the guide names the test method rather than just the organisation, so a buyer's own laboratory can reproduce the result. Where a number is a planning range - moisture pickup, moulded-part shrinkage, or freight cost per carton - the guide says so, because a buyer budgeting against a falsely precise figure will hit trouble later.
Guides are updated when the underlying specification changes. When a test method is revised by its issuing body, the affected guides are re-checked even if the product has not changed, because the older pass/fail threshold may no longer be defensible. Revision dates appear on every page and the feed is updated at the same time.
Reference figures used across the library
These are the working figures quoted throughout, stated once here so each individual guide can stay focused:
| Figure | Standard value | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum order | 500 pieces per colourway | Sizes may be mixed inside one style |
| First sample | 6-10 working days | From confirmed tech pack |
| Revision rounds | 3-5 working days each | Most programmes need one or two |
| Bulk production | 35-50 days | From sample approval |
| Inspection level | AQL 2.5 | Pre-shipment, third-party accepted |
| Payment terms | T/T 30/70 | Balance before shipment |
| Primary load port | FOB Xiamen | DDP and EXW on request |
Terminology used in these guides
A few terms recur and are worth defining once. Open area means the ratio of mesh to total shell surface, measured flat rather than on the assembled bag. Permanent set is the deformation a base board keeps after a static load is removed. Back-drive describes the distance a zipper slider travels backwards under a pushing load, which is the measurement that predicts whether a cat can open a bag from inside. Cycle time in these pages means working days on our side, excluding courier transit.
Reading order for a first-time buyer
If you have never commissioned a pet carrier before, four guides cover most of what goes wrong. Start with the platform or shell question, then the material decision, then the commercial terms, then the document set for your market. Reading them in that order keeps the later decisions cheap, because most expensive mistakes are locked in at the specification stage.
